STRENGTHENING COMMUNITIES, TRANSFORMING CARE
The Alliance for Wellness is a community-based program that helps local nonprofits provide better care and services to people with Medi-Cal—California’s public health insurance program.
We give small and mid-sized nonprofits the tools, support, and training they need to offer health services that truly make a difference, like:
-
Mental health support
-
Help with housing or food
-
Support during pregnancy
-
Chronic illness care
-
And more

HOW WE HELP
Many nonprofits want to offer health services—but Medi-Cal rules and paperwork can be tough to figure. That’s where we come in.
The Alliance for Wellness helps by:
- Handling contracts and paperwork
- Supporting billing and payments
- Providing training for Community Health Workers (CHWs)
- Connecting organizations to each other and to local health plans
- Offering tools and guidance every step of the way
This means nonprofits can focus on helping people—not paperwork.
WHO WE SERVE
We work with:
-
Nonprofits and community groups looking to provide health services through Medi-Cal
-
Community Health Workers (CHWs) who want training and support
-
Healthcare partners looking to team up with trusted community organizations
-
Residents with Medi-Cal who need help accessing care and services
WHY IT MATTERS
When local organizations can do more, communities get stronger.
By making it easier for nonprofits to offer Medi-Cal services, we can:
- Improve care for families and individuals
- Support people in staying healthy at home
- Address mental health and wellness needs
- Build a stronger, more connected network of care
