Darcella Wright is a seasoned hospitality and community engagement professional with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Before joining Marin Management as Executive Regional Director in 2006, Darcella held a variety of leadership roles including Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Catering, Tour and Travel Sales Manager, and property management positions for independent hotel owners. Her extensive background has allowed her to build strong relationships, drive business growth, and support destination marketing efforts throughout the region.
Darcella has been deeply involved in chamber and civic leadership throughout her career. She previously served as an Ambassador for the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, participated in the 2006 Oakland Chamber Leadership Class, and worked with the Tri-Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau. She remains active with multiple chambers, including the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and the Stockton Chamber of Commerce, where she supports local businesses through ribbon cuttings, events, and community outreach, while also championing local charitable efforts.
Her commitment to service extends beyond business. Darcella has served in two leadership roles with Mountain House Rotary, including Board Secretary and Past President, and works closely with the Mountain House Fire Department to provide Thanksgiving dinners for families in need. She has also organized and supported numerous fundraising events for community causes.
Darcella is a proud Make-A-Wish Foundation volunteer for the Central Valley, where she has helped grant wishes and make lasting impacts in the lives of children and their families. She is also affiliated with the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Professional Businesswomen’s Exchange, Business Network International (BNI), and serves on the Tracy Police Department Citizens Advisory Board (CAB).
In addition to her professional and volunteer work, Darcella is an entrepreneur, owning a photo booth business and working as a travel agent. She has also presented to local nonprofit organizations, sharing her knowledge and passion for business development and community engagement.
