United Way of San Joaquin County's mission is to improve the lives of people by mobilizing the caring power of communities. Its annual campaign raises between $3 and $3.5. It is estimated that while improving lives since 1926, United Way of San Joaquin County has provided $100 million for local nonprofit agencies. To accomplish this, United Way of San Joaquin County works with hundreds of employers in San Joaquin County to raise money through workplace giving campaigns, also working with volunteers and selected nonprofits to tackle tough issues within the community.
United Way of San Joaquin County addresses the health, educational and income needs of the community through analyzing those needs, investing in local nonprofits, building awareness of important issues, creating partnerships and developing prevention based programs aimed at stemming problems before they take root.
